Not really if you consider how a digital camera works. Unless you shoot in RAW the camera software will always process the image to some extent anyway. And especially when you're shooting outside you can't always set up things like light etc how you would want them. So you'll always need to look at things like white balance, levels etc which are all things you would do (or their equivilant) in the darkroom with traditional film photography. It just avoids all the hassle with chemicals! What you see there is pretty much what was there on the day. If you can see what's been tweaked it's probably been tweraked too much!
